Oh the little pleasures

Top 10 simple pleasures for a wife and a mother of 5 children, a dog and a cat, and a step mother of 1.

10. Your 16 year old eating dinner at the table with you

9. Your 13 year old daughter breathing between sentences as she recounts what happened at school that day with her friends.

8. Your 13 year old son actually saying "Hi, Mom" before he plops himself in front of the play station.

7. Going one day without hearing the words, "Can I have..." or "Can I go...."

And the #1 little pleasure is lying your 4 month old in her crib for a nap while she is still WIDE awake and she goes to sleep without a fuss AND... AND... sleeps for 2 hours. Ok having at least one of them sleep more than 2 hours at a time at night would beat this but that hasn't happened yet so I will take what I can get.
