I try not to get on my soap box too often but so many things has happened lately that has lead me to write this in my blog. Maybe we all need to hear it (including me).
The one thing I hate the most is people saying they don't have time. I believe everyone has a choice in everything. So when people say I don't have time they are really saying I choose not to make the time or I choose not to make it a priority in my life. Write 5 of the most important things in your life. My guess is God, family, friends will be somewhere in the top 5. Now list out your daily activities. Does your activities reflect what matters most to you? If God is your #1 priority does your life reflect that? If your health is important to you are you making healthy choices throughout the day or are you giving the excuse "I don't have time". If it is important to you then you better choose to make the time.
I was praying about this last night and I kept thinking in my own life what am I filling up my day with that is not on my priority list. I don't watch a lot of TV during the day buy lately I have started watching more and more. So I started thinking instead of watching that half hour show what could I be doing instead. That is where the title "Life in 30 minutes or less" came in. (Also modeled after many of my scrapbooks... Awesome pages in 30 minutes or less... Scrapbooking in 30 minutes of less). In the time it takes to watch one 30 minute show I could have ran on the treadmill, read a bible verse or just sat with God, called a friend just to say hi, called a family member just to say 'I Love you'. I could have written a love note to my kids and my husband. I have done this before and hidden it somewhere, usually in their shoes, because Lord knows if I hide it somewhere in their rooms it won't be found for months when the room is piled high they have no choice but to clean it. :-)
Are you living your life according to what matter most to you? If not shouldn't you start making the choice to?
May God bless each of you and remind you daily what matters most.
