Caitlynn and Dalton turned 4 months old this past Tuesday. I can't believe it!!! It was so funny the other day I was trying to think how I can get them to nap better during the day. They usually take 10 -15 minutes naps here and there. I remembered one of them liked to be swaddled really tight when they were younger so I was thinking I would try that, but I couldn't remember who it was. So I asked Jeff, "When Caitlynn and Dalton were babies, who liked to be swaddled." When they were babies.... Holy cow you would think they were 4 years old instead of 4 months. They sure are getting big though. I took them to the doctor today. They both weigh 14 pounds. Which really surprised all of us. We thought for sure Dalton would be a couple of pounds bigger. Dalton is stalky through the chest but Caitlynn has some thunder thighs. (Sorry Caitlynn)Caitlynn started playing with toys about 3 weeks ago. She will play for quite awhile with these fish that hang down.
Then she will get bored and I'll put her in the sing which has a toy handing down. When she gets bored with that I'll put her in her bouncy that has some toys. Its an all day game we like to play.
Dalton isn't too interested in the toys yet. He just sits and stares at them. When they were first born Caitlynn was the demanding one. Now that she can entertain herself Dalton has became the more demanding one.
Because Dalton doesn't nap very well towards the evening he starts getting too tired and will just sit there and cry and cry and cry until he finally gives up. We usually do a lot of walking around. He also loves to lie like this on our laps. He will go right to sleep. When we finally get him up we usually have a big wet spot on our knees and drool running down our legs. But, hey, whatever works.Boy can they talk. They are always cooing and laughing. Caitlynn found her voice and has now started this high pitch squeal.
Dalton loves his fist. He tries to fit the entire thing in his mouth. Caitlynn just started sucking on her fingers a couple of days ago. She puts them so far in her mouth she gags herself.

The next big step is baby food. We gave Caitlynn a taste of ice cream the other day. (Shhh!! I know it should be baby food from a jar but we couldn't resisit). She kept eyeing Jeff while he was eating. When he brought the spoon to her mouth she opened it up. She really liked it. It was pretty funny. She was holding her hands so pretty in front of her and being very patient, but of course eyeing every bite Jeff took.
