Well at least Yesterday 3 Angels definitely were with me. Yesterday Dalton had his ultrasound on his hip. It really was just a check to make sure his hips are ok since he was breech. His hips are fine, but it was quite a morning to find that out. I was hoping a friend of mine could come with me or at least watch Caitlynn so I could focus on Dalton. That didn't work out and Jeff was not able to take some time off. I didn't think it would be a big deal handling both babies as long as I had pacifiers and bottles. I packed the diaper bag and we headed out.
The appointment was downtown Baltimore where I HATE to drive. I have never been to this place before so I was quite anxious to begin with. Traffic was backed up and Caitlynn screamed the entire 30 minute drive. I finally arrived 15 minutes late. I proceeded to get the babies out and realized I had forgotten the diaper bag. I have NEVER forgotten the diaper bag and the day I really needed the bottles I didn't have them. Since I was already late there was no way I could go back and get them. I decided to chance it and see what happened. Also in the diaper bag was the doctor's orders for the ultrasound. Since I didn't have it they had to call the doctors office and have it faxed. That took forever and their fax machine was not working properly. An hour and a half passed by and the babies were starting to get upset. I was trying my best to keep both of them from crying but the more time went on the hungrier they got. Everyone in the place was starring at me and I just wanted to sit down and cry myself. A lady with a small baby behind me asked how old they were. I said "4 months and the problem is I forgot their diaper bag so I don't have diapers or bottles and they are hungry. " I will just have to leave. I was standing at the desk to tell the receptionist we would have to rescedule when the lady with the baby gave me 2 cans of formula and a nipple in its own package that has never been opened. She said her baby is lactose intolerant and can't use it. She just had it in her diaper bag not knowing what to do with it. I couldn't believe it. She was truly my angel. I hugged her and fed the babies. Since I only had one nipple I was passing the bottle back and forth between them. I was still quite upset and then Caitlynn gave me one of her smiles. It really made me feel much better. My second angel of the day.

We were finally called back into the ultrasound. The technician mistakenly asked how my day has been. Boy did she get an ear full. The doctor came in to start the ultrsound. He undid one side of Dalton's diaper to get to his hip. Every thing was fine. Then the doctor undid the other side of the diaper leaving the first side still undone. Yes you guessed it. Dalton decided that moment in time to mess all over the place. It was every where and I had no diaper to change him into. The doctor finished up and the technician and I cleaned Dalton and the table up. I looked at the technician and said I know this is bad but I don't have a diaper so I have to make do.
When we finally got home I really just wanted to sit down and have a good cry. Instead Dalton and Caitlynn were in really good moods and flashing me all kinds of smiles and talking to me. Thank God for them. It took me a few hours to finally laugh at my morning. Thank goodness it is behind me.
