We are having quite the discussion over here. We have discovered that Idahoans and Marylanders say the word "tour" differently. We are having a debate on who is correct. This is a constanst discussion between all of us. Marylanders say it as 'tor'. Us Idahoans say it as tewer. The score right now is Marylanders 2.5 Idahoans 3.0 Neither side-3.0
Summary of Points
Maryland- The word "four" pronounced "for" is spelled just like "tour' except for the "t". Therefore tour is also pronounced "tor". One point for Maryland
Idaho- We pronounce it like it is spelled to-ur. Ok a little redneck but we aren't going to get into that discussion. One point for Idaho.
Idaho- In the dictionary we found it pronounced (toor). Too- r. One point for Idaho.
Maryland- Poor/Pour is also pronounced this way in the dictionary and it is pronounced por. Not poo-r. Dang. Got us on that one. One point for Maryland
Actually we are having hard time understanding the pronunciation key in the dictionary. The oo with Pour, Four, Tour is supposed to be the same sound as hook, pull. Ya, right!!! Where is Webster from anyway???
Maryland. the word tournament is pronounced tornament. Not tewernament. I'll give Maryland a half point for this because we don't even say torn-ament. We say turn-ament.
Idaho- We found in the dictionary Tours. Pronounced Toors. It is a city in Paris.
Now we have also found words where neither side get a point. Sour, Flour, and our. Is has the pronunciation of these as "ar". Really!! Seriously!! Where is Webster from anyway???
I give up. Actually I think I am going to give Idaho a bazillion points for putting the redneck spin on it. To-ur. I don't care who you are, That is funny!!!

I'm pretty sure you should come back to Idaho where we know how to pronounciate. You should at least come back and take a face-to-face poll!!!
