Going!! Going!! Going!!!

There is a saying that mother's deliver their children obstetrically once and by car forever after. Boy was I feeling that this weekend, but then again that is nothing new.


I finally have a couple of minutes to update my blog and I realized the pictures I want are on the 35mm camera that hasn't been developed yet. In order to not get behind any further I decided to go ahead with the update and I will post the pictures later.


Friday Austin had a sleep over with the middle school boys at our Youth Pastors house. By all accounts I am not sure it went too well (for the youth pastor anyway) When we picked him up at 8:45 Saturday morning all the boys were outside and the youth pastor was vacuuming the house. Not a good sign. Austin said he had a good time though. There were about 20 boys and none of them went to sleep that night. After picking him up we had to go to the homecoming parade Ashlie was marching in. We asked if he wanted to go home and sleep. He said he wasn't tired. 2 seconds later he was asleep. He woke up just in time for the parade. We then had a couple of hours until the homecoming game so we went home. We told Austin to go get a couple of hours of sleep. He again said he wasn't tired. After much prodding (ok yelling) by us he reluctantly went to lie down. A few minutes later Jeff went in to check on him. He was so mad at us he hid in the closet and was sound a sleep curled up in his closet. I have a great picture of a sound asleep little boy who was adamant he wasn't tired!!!


Sunday was busy with Corrie's Volleyball practice, Austin's baseball game and Lauren coming for visit. Lauren got into town around 6 on Sunday and had to leave early this morning (Tuesday) since she has to work tomorrow. Her visit was short but it was wonderful to see her. She tried to hold the babies as much as she could but Caitlynn was in one of her continual moods in that she only wanted held by me. So the only pictures we have of Lauren is with Dalton.

Caitlynn did manage to say hi from the comforts of my lap (Ok she really isn't waving. Her hand just happened to come up as her picture was being taken.

We were able to get a picture of both babies smiling in the same picture.... a miracle in itself

Isn't their smile contagious!!! Dalton's smile is always big like that with big shiny eyes. Caitlynn's is like a little devilish snicker usually not with her tongue hanging out like it is in this picture.
