Family Reunion.. WV Fair

Never send a family to do a Genealogists work. Last weekend was the Wagoner Family reunion. Which is Jeff's mom and dad's family. Yes, Jeff's mom AND dad. It is West Virginia so what do you expect. :-) Well, Corrie had her volleyball tryouts that day so Jeff, Ashlie, Caitlynn and Dalton went to WV early Saturday morning (Austin was already there since he had spent the week there with his cousin working at the fair). Corrie and I were going to miss the family reunion and maybe even the parade, but would be there late afternoon. I really wanted to go to this family reunion because it usually has about 200 people attend and is on the property that has been in the family for over 200 years. I have been doing genealogy on Jeff's family and thought this would be a perfect opportunity to get updates. I sent strict instructions with Jeff and Ashlie to make sure they took pictures. I was even hoping for some genealogy updates from them. Well I did get pictures, but they only took pictures of Jeff's immediate family Which don't get me wrong is GREAT.. But I really wanted pictures of people I didn't know so I could have them for my genealogy file. Ashlie also kept making comments of how people would come up to them and say we are related somehow and then they would figure it out. Did she write ANY of this down?? NO!!! Did she remember who ANY of these people were? NO!!!! Obviously she needs to go back to Genealogy 101 classes. I thought I had trained her better than that. Oh well.

These are cousins

Jeff's Mom and Dad along with a couple of Dalton and Caitlynn's cousins

I love this picture of Jeff and Caitlynn

Later that evening we went to the fair. The kids walked around and rode some rides. Jeff, Caitlynn and I just kinda of walked around. Dalton and Caitlynn did go on the merry go round though. Dalton LOVED IT!!! He was talking the whole time. Caitlynn didn't like it too much. Jeff said she was really shaking so he ended up holding her. ( I think these pictures are from a couple of days earlier when we went to the fair near home. The fair near home was nothing to even blog about. Well besides Dalton and Caitlynn riding the Merry go round which ended up just like the one in WV where Caitlynn hated it and Dalton loved it.)
