The Door

We lived in Twin Falls until I was 9. We then moved to Filer. While we lived in Twin Falls Mom and Dad started putting my brother and my heights on a hall closet door. When we moved to Filer the door came with us. When my brother and I started having kids we put our kids heights on the door. The door moved with my mom and dad from house to house until I inherited a couple of years ago. Thankfully it made it safely during the long trek from Idaho to eventually Virginia. The door right now is just leaning up against the wall in our entry way. Today I actually put Caitlynn and Dalton's heights on it. It was very interesting to analyze. I am very proud to say that my mom and Dad did a very good job getting our heights every year until we were about 14. I have also done a pretty good job getting my kids heights up until the last 4 years. Opps!!! I think it was actually the upsetting fact that 4 years ago is when Ashlie actually became taller than me. Never fear, though, I am now over that fact since Austin is now taller than me too. It really is fun to see how tall I was at the same age the kids were. It it also neat to realize Ashlie was also consistantly 3 inches taller than Corrie and Austin at the same age. At the rate Austin is going I don't think that will last.
