Memorial Weekend

Over Memorial Weekend my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin came for a visit. The original plan was they were going to come on Sunday and leave Monday morning. Their car had other plans and it being memorial weekend they couldn't have it looked at until Tuesday morning. Which meant extra time for us to see them. Yeah!!!

Sunday evening when they arrived we fired up the BBQ and had a really nice dinner...... in the garage.

Monday morning we took them to Harpers Ferry. I have already blogged a few times about Harpers Ferry so I won't bore you with more pictures, but the really cool thing was I saw places I haven't seen before. And as many times as I have been there you would have thought I had seen it all. We walked down where the Armory used to be which was down along the river. We actually spent a lot of time down there because it was in the shade and little cooler. It was extremely hot and muggy that day.

Another site I have never seen is inside the Catholic Church. For this weekend only they had it open to the public.

Later that night Uncle Jerry washed and waxed Ashlie's car as a graduation present.

Just as they were finished washing it it started raining. Thank goodness we just recently cleaned out the garage so they could pull the car in to wax it. The rain didn't stop Dalton and Corrie though.
