Memorial Weekend

Ashlie has been working ALOT. She usually works Monday and Tuesday evenings and then all day Saturday and Sunday. I really miss her when we do activities on the weekend and she can't be with us. She actually took Memorial weekend off and we were very excited. Saturday was gorgeous so we decided to head for a park. We didn't have a lot of time so we found one about 15 minutes away called Savage Park. What I absolutely love about this area is being so close to big cities like Baltimore and Washington (Although I absolutely HATE Balitmore), but yet we can have a forest in our back yard. It isn't uncommon to see deer or wild rabbits in your backyard. You can be driving down a 5 lane freeway and then immediately be on a country road like being the Idaho Mountains. This park ended up being my favorite. It really felt like walking in the mountians of Idaho.
Along this path was a stream that you had to hike a little down to
It didn't take the kids long before they were down in the water
Ashlie and Corrie stop to pose for a picture
Poor Austin being the photographer had to take a self portrait.

Before our walk we went to a park and had lunch and played on the swings

I thought Dalton would really like the swings since he likes to bounce, but Caitlynn seemed to like them more.

Dig the Shades....

On Sunday we headed to the Winchester area to check out where we want to live and what schools we want the kids to go to.

We were extremely excited when we found this

There are not any DQ's where we live now and we really haven't found another place that we like the ice cream.
As we took a break and had our ice cream we put Dalton in the grass and he didn't like it at all.
He wouldn't put his legs down at all.
That evening we went to eat and the resturant had a horse for the babies to ride. Again I thought Dalton would be excited to ride it, but he wasn't.

We had a pretty successful weekend. We narrowed where we want to live to 2 states and 3 counties. (Actually since we have been back I think we have now narrowed it down to 1 state and 1 county but we still have to decide between 2 schools)
On Monday we went to a friends house and played in the pool. Caitlynn and Dalton LOVED the water.
