Corrie, Ashlie and Austin all signed up for the 30 hour famine at our church. They are suppose to stop eating after lunch on Friday and not eat for 30 hours. During that time they do community service, and do activities that shows the kids how kids in 3rd world countries must feel without the food we are blessed with. The kids also raise money for the World Mission. The 30 hour famine was originally suppose to happen back in February but a storm that day cancelled everything. The make-up day was in April, the same weekend that Ashlie was in Myrtle Beach. So unfortunately Ashlie couldn't go and Corrie and Austin could not participate in most activities on Saturday because of softball and baseball games. They did however not eat for the 30 hours. Most of the activities were at a place called Gen-X. Area churches use this place for their activities. It is an old swimming pool. The water is out the pool and I guess there are pool tables and other kids play stuff down in the pool. This is a picture of Corrie sitting on the side of the pool.
