A night on the town

Last Saturday was John's birthday. John is an old friend that Jeff lived with for 4 months last year while the kids and I were still in Idaho. Because of John's work schedule and our hectic life we don't get to see him too much. In fact he hasn't even seen peanut A and peanut B (John's affectionate name for Caitlynn and Dalton) Anyway, we were very excited to find out he was having a surprise birthday party and our evening was free!!! It was great to hang out with John, but what I enjoyed even more was hanging out with more of Jeff's old Firefighter friends. I met some of them last fall at the Firehouse banquet, but I really enjoyed getting to know them better. I also love watching Jeff with his friends. We had a wonderful evening.

Vic and Pat telling war stories. Vic lost his arm in an electrical accident while putting out a fire many years ago. John was also electrocuted at the same fire and both almost lost their lives.

Jeff and John. Don't they look like they could get into a lot of trouble together??? (the PIMP cup was a gag gift for his 50th birthday)

Walt, John and Jeff. I had to show this picture because it sooo explains Walt. Walt lost his wife a couple of years ago due to cancer. He is still very much in love with her and my heart aches for him. He is always goofing off, but he has a HUGE heart of gold. (If you need someone to pray for, can you put Walt on your list?)

Walt (actually being serious) John, Jeff, and Eric

Tammy (John's girlfriend), Lee and Winnie

OK the funniest thing of the evening had to be Lee. At the Banquet last year Lee was quite intoxicated. Aparently that is Lee. Well this evening Lee was well on his way to getting intoxicated again. Lee mentions something about a Yeager Bomb. Winnie (his better half) being just within ear shot loudly claims he can not have a Yeager shot and she has a note to prove it. What? A note? What are you talking about? She whips this note out of her purse. I have no idea what the story was to prompt the initial writing of this note, but the whole thing was hilarious. Lee obeyed and didn't have a shot.

Ok The second funniest thing was John and his "Over the Hill. I'm 50 attire". This is a picture of him and his son Adam (a Howard County Firefighter. Surprise, Surprise!).
