Ok Ok. I fully admit it. I am a scrapbooking/genealogy/history Addict. If I am not reading or researching history/genealogy I am documenting family history through my scrapbooking. My problem is once I get going I can't seem to put it down. Laundry doesn't get done, bills don't get paid, kids don't get fed, diapers don't get changed. Ok Ok. so maybe I am exaggerating just a little but I absolutely love it!! I have even been contemplating how I can make money at this passion, but who has time to research someone elses family when I still have plenty of family of my own to research. My latest conquest..... The Breshears line. My late husband was a Breshears and therefore so are my kids (Well 3 of them :-) ) My best friend, Tanya, has been saying for a couple of years now that her parents think we are related somehow. Well I finally got around to putting the Breshears info into my genealogy program so I contacted Tanya's mom. WE ARE RELATED!!!!! Yeah!!!!! Just goes to show....you never know who your family may be.
I even recently found out my brother-in-law and I are related through my current husband's family. The Longs!!! He married a "Long" and I of course married a "Long". My 1st cousin 4 times removed married his 2nd cousin 4 times removed. Ok so we are only related through marriages but nonetheless we are related.
So we might not have clean underwear but......
My genealogy books are organized and I know who my 2nd cousin 4 times removed married. I know where my family lived and for the most part what living in their time was like.

And my kids can look through a plethora of scrapbooks of their childhood. Now to me that is important stuff!!!!

(I have an extra pair of clean underwear in my glove box in the car anyway... You know the pair my mother told me to keep there incase I was ever in an accident.)
