Well this year of course was different because of our move back east. We have been attending a small group with church and have become friends with several of the people. I was very excited to hear they were going to have a New Years party. Although we thought about our friends in Idaho at the cabin all weekend we did have a good time. (In fact we had to call the cabin around midnight just to wish them a Happy New Years!!!)
The evening started with dinner and then we did a white elephant gift exchange. BUT this was different. The gift had to be from something in your house you don't want anymore. It was hilarious. The gody awful looking things people had in their house. All of them were gifts from other people. The evening ended with a toast to the New Year. We had so much fun we didn't even get around to playing games. At the cabin we always stay up until 3-4 in the morning playing games. So when the toast was over and everyone headed for home the kids and I are thinking, "But we are just getting started. Let's play games now". But we took the cue from everyone else and headed for home. Next Year though.... games until the wee wee hours of the morning.
Here are a few pictures from the evening
Kevin got something we had no idea what it was. It was a wire ring with beads on it. We all think it was a ring for a candle. But Kevin thought he would wear it as a halo.

Beth is becoming my closest friend here.

Kevin(Beth's husband) and Dale (Eva's husband) Kevin went to WVU prior to Jeff going there. And of course once a WVU fan ALWAYS a WVU fan so they always have plenty to talk about.

Happy New Years!!!! May God bless you richly this year.
