Cookies and Houses

This year it seems like all we did was decorate cookies but Caitlynn and Dalton had Fun. On Dec 19th I spent the entire day making cookies. Austin and his girlfriend helped some. :-) . I made a huge batch of sugar cookies. Problem was I didn't have in Christmas cookie cutters. So we made angels/gingerbread men out of ghost cookie cutters, hearts from valentine cutters and I did actually have a star.

Jeff's cousin, Anita and her daughter, Micayla came over to help decorate. I told Anita to bring some stuff to decorate the cookies with. It was HILARIOUS because she had easter decorations, I had halloween and valentines decorations. So between the two of us we had everything but Christmas cut outs and decorations, but it worked and we had an awesome time.

I especially love the pastel colored frosting. Hee Hee. Make sure you check your sugar level after eating one of these.

On Christmas Eve our normal tradition is to go to church, go look at christmas lights, come home have egg nog and open one present and then go to bed. This year there was no church service. We thought about finding another church but I honestly wasn't too excited about getting dressed up and going out. The lights are really not that good here. So I guess we started a new tradition this year. Making our Gingerbread house and Gingerbread men on Christmas eve.

Every year the challenge is to get our Gingerbread house to actually stand up long enough to put the decorations on. Apparently that task was given to Austin and Eric.

Corrie's look of disbelief that it will actually stand this year.

Well it is still standing so time to decorate. Ashlie and Cody's job.

And the finished products!!!!
