Nap time

My next two funnies come from our daily ritual of nap time. Some days lying Dalton and Caitlynn down for a nap is easy.Some days are well.... difficult. The normal nap time routine starts anywhere from 1:30 to 3:00. Let me say "starts" because some days we don't "end" until bedtime. Caitlynn has to go down AND be asleep before we can even consider putting Dalton down otherwise they will just play. Caitlynn usually falls asleep faster so thats why Caitlynn goes down first. And Caitlynn has to go down before 2:00 otherwise Cailou is on TV and there is no chance she will go peacefully to bed if she knows Cailou is on.

So the other day Caitlynn goes to take her nap. About 45 minutes later thinking Caitlynn is surely asleep by now, Corrie takes Dalton up. Caitlynn is NOT asleep. So Dalton and Caitlynn proceed to play for another hour. All the time I am constantly going up to yell at them to go to sleep. When I really had had enough I go in and turn Dalton towards the wall and tell him to go to sleep. I walk out but stand right by the door. Every little peep they make I am going to be right there to yell at them. So I am standing at the door and Dalton slowly turns his head to see if I am still there. Seeing that I am he quickly turns his head back. He does this a few times. I am not amused. Then I start hearing snoring. Dalton is pretending to be asleep and is pretending to snore. I couldn't help but laugh. That pretty much did it for me. I knew I wasn't going to win. Needless to say neither of them took a nap that day.

Now for today's nap.... Caitlynn is asleep. I put Dalton down for his nap. I am downstairs on the computer and I hear a door shut. I go upstairs to find Dalton is not in his room. I look all over for him and finally find him in Austin's room lying on his bed. I tell Dalton he needs to nap in his own bed. He says "No. Nap" and points to Austin's bed. I almost let him stay there to see if he would really take a nap there, but I really don't want to open that can of worms. Too Funny.
