Church Play

This year Corrie, Ashlie and Austin signed up to be in the church play. Corrie had to stop half way through because softball was consuming her time, but Ashlie and Austin continued and I must say we were really looking forward to the performance.

I have a video of the entire show and I tried to trim it down some to show you a little bit of it, but .... well ..... TECHNOLOGY... that is all I am saying. So instead here is a picture of Ashlie and Austin.

The play ... of course... since it was close to Easter revolved around Jesus's crucifiction and his rising 3 days later. The best part of the play was when Jesus actually carried his own cross down the aisle. Then they really nailed him on the cross and left him for dead. The entire scene was very real. There is a gentlemen at our church who just a few weeks ago accepted Christ. He is a very tall big man. He was behind Jesus whipping him as he was carrying the cross. I happened to see this guys face as he walked by me. This was more than a play to him. It was personal. You could see it in his eyes.

Ashlie and Austin did a great job. I am so proud of both of them and can't wait to see it again next year.
