Easter

I was really looking forward to Easter this year because of Caitlynn and Dalton. I just knew they would love hunting for Easter eggs.

The weekend before Easter we went over to a friends house for an Easter egg hunt. I actually couldn't attend since Austin had a baseball game, but Jeff, Corrie and the babies went. (Ashlie had to work). Jeff said Caitlynn and Dalton found their first egg and found out that it opened. They then sat down and played with that egg. They had not interest in finding any more eggs.

As I have mentioned a zillion times Dalton LOVES balls. Well if you look at the egg candy through a 21 month old they look like miniture balls... even Jelly beans really are miniture balls. Well Dalton would hold the chocolate miniture balls and Jelly beans in his hands and would NOT let go of them. There was no way he was going to eat his balls. He was a mess.

The Saturday before Easter there was a egg hunt at the Church. It was raining that day so we had it inside. Same thing... Dalton and Caitlynn were content with just the one egg. They finally found their 16 eggs a piece, had a snack, made a craft and headed home for a nap. (There aren't any pictures of Dalton because I couldn't get him to sit still long enough. He loves to run around in the church.

Easter Sunday we went to WV to have Easter dinner with Jeff's family. As always it was wonderful. Jeff's sister was also there. In January, she became a grandma. That meant we now have 5 generations. Yeah!!!! Here is a picture of baby Dakota, mom(Brittany), grandma (Pam), great grandma (Mary Ellen, Jeff's Mom) and great great grandma (Grandma Ginny)

Coloring Easter eggs wasn't what I had hoped it to be. I wanted Corrie Ashlie and Austin to color eggs while the babies were napping. That actually did happen. Yeah!!!! But then when the babies woke up and most of the mess was cleaned up I wanted them to color just a couple of eggs. That didn't happen. boo!!! I wanted everyone home to see them color eggs and we just couldn't make that happen.... at a reasonable time of day. Oh well.. there is always next year. (Ashlie really did color eggs too. I think she was getting ready for work when I took this picture. Sorry, Ashlie)
