Christmas Time

Aghh!! The week between Christmas and New Years. The week every year I mention ten thousands times that Next Year I will have my shopping done before Thanksgiving. Next Year will not be has hectic as this year. This week is also the week I faithly write out my new Years resolution only to faithly misplace the list 3 weeks into the year. I did do something new and exciting this year, though, that I have never done before. I braved the local mall trying frantically to finish my Christmas shopping on CHRISTMAS EVE. The highlight of the day was finding out at 5:30 that Austin doesn't have a Christmas outfit because his good shoes and pants no longer fit. We rush to the store and are able to sneak in just as the doors shut. We were able to purchase shoes, but he had to shrink and suck it in to wear his good pants just for a couple of hours.

Honestly, though, the last few weeks have been a total blur. Good thing I have a photographic memory. i.e a scrapbookers term for only remembering the past by looking at all the pictures she has taken.

Here are a few

No!!! I am not pulling Rusty's hair

Corrie's music concert. She sounded great!!! Ashlie also had a winter concert, but unfortunately we didn't get any pictures. She even had a couple of solos.

Caitlynn surprises us with a tooth last Saturday. She checks Dalton to make sure he doesn't have a tooth.

He doesn't have a tooth, but decides to roll over for the first time from his stomach to back.

Caitlynn, not to be outdone by her brother, has now found her feet to entertain herself

A trip to see Santa.

I agree, Caitlynn, shopping is exhausting and sometimes you just need to pull your hat down and take a nap

Ok, after several takes I have decided in order to get all 6 kids smiling at the same time it is going to need some kind of miracle.

A wonderful picture of Jeff and his daughter, Lauren.

Mr and Mrs. Farmer Brown

Another shot at a family picture. Too bad Lauren isn't with us.

Christmas Eve our tradition has always been to go to the Christmas eve program at church, go look at Christmas lights, go home have have egg nog or hot chocolate, open one present and then head to bed so Santa can come. This year was no exception except no one really puts up Christmas lights around here. We look all over and found very few. Christmas day we opened presents and just hung out at home. I don't even think anyone got out of the PJ's the entire day. Now that's Christmas done right!!!!
