Picture Madness

Yes my obsessive-compulsive-addiction disorder is still lingering around. I have scoured my computer, the 35 mm camera, both my camera's, jeff's current phone, Jeff's old phone, closets, boxes, Corrie's camera and yes I admit I have even scoured Facebook looking for pictures. I have printed and organized a huge majority of the pictures. Everytime I think I have them all I find more. But now really I think I am at the final stages of my madness.

This little adventure has not been without its up and downs. Her is a little snapshot of a day

"Corrie, when were these picture taken"
"This was in 2008 at youth camp, (enter 5 minute story)
This was in New York City for the band trip (enter story)
This was over at Kait's house (Oh did I tell you... enter totally different story)"

Me: Ok thanks

Next Day... "Corrie, now when were these pictures taken again".
"This was in 2008 at youth camp (enter 5 minute story)"
Me: "Wait.. just write the stories down for me and tell me where in the book I should put them. :-)

Ok really it isn't that bad but almost. I really can't remember anything and Corrie has been a huge help in helping me figure this stuff out. My two favorite or should I say not-so-favorite stories are of Caitlynn/Dalton and Christmas of 2009

When Caitlynn and Dalton were little I took a picture of them every single week until they were 3 months old. And then religiously every month until they were one year. After that it was just cute pictures here and there.(although ALOT) So when I go to put Caitlynn and Dalton's pictures in the scrapbook it is important I know the exact date of the picture. Even off by a week could be wrong. So I find all of these pictures and I am desparately trying to figure out where they go. I spend quite a bit of time on it and think I have it figured out. Then I find an identical stack of pictures WITH DATES ON THE BACK. Are you kidding me? I had no idea I had those. But thank goodness. But in that stack were some pictures that didn't have dates so I try my best. I think I finally have that figured out. By now I am tired of organizing pictures so I decide to organize my picture files on the computer. Guess what I found!! I complete folder of Caitlynn and Dalton organized by week and month with all of their pictures in the appropriate place. WOW!! Could have used that about a zillion pictures ago. Someone was major organized when she wasn't working. :-)

So now Christmas of 2009. I kept telling everyone Christmas of 2009 didn't exist. I didn't blog about it and I can't find pictures anywhere. I found a roll of film in my 35mm camera and thought I finally found it. Nope just pictures of us getting the tree. I searched and searched and searched. Then when Ashlie was home for my birthday I mentioned it to her. She said, "Oh I have them on my computer. We used my camera". So did not think of that. She sent them to walmart and had them delivered to the house. When I saw them it was great but there are still pictures missing.... Like actual Christmas morning. Where in the world could they be???? Oh well. I finally have come to the acceptance that we just didn't take any.. which is weird. So now just this morning as I was updating my blog I decided to go look my drafts. Yep all those posts I meant to post but just never did. Lo and behold there is a draft about Christmas 2009. It says there aren't any pictures because we took video of that morning. REALLY??? SERIOUSLY???? Why would you do that to my brain???!!!!

So yes this has been an adventure... and now I am ever more determined to go back and post all my pictures and blog about them. Because Obviously I CAN'T REMEMBER ANYTHING ANYMORE!!!!!

Today I did several blogs of Corrie, Austin, Ashlie in 2011. To find them just click on their name on the right. Oh Also check out newborn pictures of Axl.
