The team stats are horrible. They have only won 2 games. They were suppose to have 4 games this week, and then move into tournaments, but it has rained... rained... rained... all week long.

Corrie's Softball
We were very excited and proud when Corrie made the Varsity Softball team. But then things didn't start out too well. Corrie has always played infield, usually 1st base or shortstop. This year the coach put her in right field. But the really bad thing about that is she had to share it with another girl. No... sharing really isn't the right word. Corrie sat on the bench while the other girl played the entire game. Now as a parent of course I am upset. But there is no reason at all that Corrie doesn't deserve to be playing. She actually is much better than the other girl. And no it isn't because she is a freshman. There are actually 2 other freshman on the team. So finally mid way through the season Corrie started playing the entire game. She goes between right field and left field. (Mind you in this league most hitters hit to right field because they are behind the pitch). At first Corrie was very upset she was playing right field. Then when she sat on the bench for awhile she was happy to just be playing. I keep asking her if she likes playing outfield (I played left field and am very passionate about the outfield). She doesn't really comment, but I get the feeling she likes it better than the infield.
