I actually started this following post on Oct 25. I had everything ready, but the video was taking over 8 hours to load. So I finally got around to editing the video into 3 separate video's. So here it is... and I hope to get you caught up soon on Senior Night, Halloween and of course Volleyball.

I can't believe Marching Band is already over with. I know it IS the end of October, but still ... I really enjoy watching the bands. This year it seemed like it was over with before it started.
This is the first and only year Corrie and Ashlie marched together. Next year Ashlie will be off to college. I think they really like being in band together. The band director ended up being very nice to me and put Corrie and Ashlie close to each other during the first song. You would think that would be great photo opportunitites, but when they all wear their uniform I can't tell who is who. One video I have I thought I was video taping Ashlie. At the end of the performance I zoomed in and it wasn't Ashlie at all!!!!
This year there were about 100 kids in the band. The biggest band Ashlie has played in and very very different from the 30 member band she was in last year. This school is 5 years old and every year has gotten a Superior in State Marching Band Festival. The pressure was definitely on. At the beginning of the year a Superior looked like a long shot. But the kids really worked hard and each performance they got better. I went to a performance a couple hours south of here and I went to a couple of football games. I have also seen some of their clinics. There was no way I was going to miss the State Marching Band Festival. Thank goodness it was right here at their school. When I got to field at 1:30 this afternoon it was pouring down rain. They moved the competition to the gym just as I got into the stadium. This was a huge disappointment because playing in the gym meant standing still and not doing their marching performance that they worked so hard on.
They did end up getting a superior, but in many ways it just wasn't the same. These pictures were taken from todays performance. Way to go girls!!!!

This is a video of their performance last week at the clinic. It was only a clinic so they aren't dressed in their uniforms. In the first song Corrie and Ashlie are on the right hand side. Ashlie plays clarinet and Corrie piccalo. Corrie is in really light colored jeans and a light grey sweat shirt.
On the second song, Ashlie is leading the line on the right. At first she is in the back of the line then when it turns around she is in the front. She is wearing light colored jeans and a dark blue t-shirt. Corrie is in the back right standing still doing the movements.
The girls did play a 3rd song. I have tried all week to get it to load. Today I let it run for almost 12 hours trying to get it to load before my machine just decided to shut itself down. So needless to say I am not going to put the video of their 3rd song on here. If I can get it to work, I'll try putting it into a different post. I still do have close up pictures of the girls to post, but I need to find Ashlie's camera first.
