Our Haunted Adventure

The last few weeks have been very busy with volleyball, marching band, and trying to get my Pampered Chef business off and running. The kids and I did manage to go on our annual Haunted House Adventure on Friday night.

Our passion for Haunted House started I think 11 years ago. It was the year after Dana died and we went to a Haunted House with my brother in law. As soon as the chain saw guy came out and my brother in law screamed like a girl as he climbed over the top of us to get out we were hooked. One year we went to the "Haunted Woods". That was spooky because it really was in amoung the woods. I remember trolls hiding under bridges and trying to grab our feet. The kids even went to a Haunted House with their cousins on Jeff and my wedding night. I think the best one we have been to is the Haunted World in Idaho. The worst one was the one last year in Maryland. This years was right in the middle somewhere. It did hit most of the fears. We started off in an elevator that rumbles around until it crashes supposedly in the basement of this house. From there we walked through a junk yard graveyard where spooky people jumped out at us. Then we went through the clastrophopic hall. It was like two giant sponges on each side of you and you had to push your way though. It really was clastrophopic, but very cool. Then we went down a long very very dark hall way. After the dark hall way we passed through a lab where a guy was chained to the wall. We have seen this before. The guy chained up rattles his chains and tries to break loose, but doesn't. Big Deal. But this time the guy actually broke loose and chased Ashlie. She was screaming and trying to hide behind Corrie. It was HILARIOUS!! And finally we went through a hall with a lot of clowns jumping out at us. For some reason I jumped at everyone of those.
The scariest part of the evening though was the actual drive there. It was on a country road I have never been on. I felt like we were out in the middle of no where. Then we turned down this dirt lane that goes into a wooded area. The road wasn't in the best of conditions which just added to the suspense. ...Think Blair Witch Project.. Finally we got through the woods and there was a big farm with a corn maze, pumpkin patch, and an old barn where our Haunted Adventure took place.

Besides Ashie peeing her pants because of the chain guy the next funniest thing was this guy.
He was chasing and scaring people. He created a bunch of attention. For some reason when I asked him for a picture and he came toward me he even scared me. I thought he was going to grab me.
We had a great time
