Nite Nite sweet little one

As always there is never a dull moment in this household. We are right in the middle of softball and baseball. I am the official scorekeeper for Corrie's team which adds extra excitement as I have to be at the game AND I have to have someone with me to help with the babies. They don't quite understand "Mommy is keeping score and needs to watch the game so please quit throwing your toys out of the stroller".

The really nice thing is Corrie and Austin play at the same park. So so far it has worked out great. We just go from field to field. Last Saturday was our first of many all day Saturday's at the ballfield. The babies do ok. They always want to be on the go so being in the stroller or on someones lap for 2-4 hours is tough. This Saturday, though, I am going to bring the playpen. We will see how that works.
Here are just a couple of pictures of them at the ballpark
By the way, Corrie and Austin are doing great. They both have great coaches and a great team. They have improved sooo much. I'll write more about that later.
Yes, Those are WVU jackets.
Yes We are sitting in the parking lot. Austin's fields are weird where they are down below the parking lot. There really isn't any place to sit unless you want to sit on the bleachers or on the hill. With the babies both are tough so we just sit in front of our car. That way we also have easy access to the car if we need something for the babies.
And Yes that is a BSU sweatshirt. I haven't completely got rid of my Idaho identity.
This past Sunday the babies turned 9 months. I CAN NOT believe it. They are growing up way too fast. They are not crawling yet but are rolling or scooting all over the place.

How Caitlynn managed to get in this situation I have no idea. She is in between the chair and the stool. She is pretty proud of herself. Her most favorite thing to do is clap. She claps all the time.

Here are a few pictures taken on their 9 month birthday. Caitlynn is always good for a big smile but for this picture session she was in no mood for smiling.

Austin's Hokey Pokey dance brought out a little one. (By the way, I have Ausin's hokey pokey dance and Dalton laughing hysterically on video. I will try to get it on the blog.)

Ok now for the whole reason I started blogging tonight. The babies get up 3 times during the night. Usually the same time but sometimes not. I consistantly get up with them, give them a bottle and crawl back into bed. When Jeff gets up at 5:30 he tends to them and then by 8:00 they are ready for the day. They are still in our room so I really really want to get them to sleep through the night before they realize they are in the same room. I can only imagine at 2:00 am them standing up screaming at me. It is really hard to change this schedule though because it does allow for Jeff to get some sleep since he has to get up. We had a sudden game plan change this week when Jeff suddenly had to go away for 2 weeks for work. (That's a whole other story that will take many blogs. I'll fill you in on that whole life saga in a week or so).
So...I bought a book called the Sleepeasy Solution. It is wonderful. I fully agree with everything they say and their approach for getting kids to sleep through the night. They are saying this approach should have kids sleeping through the night in 3-4 days. They do mention with twins you might want to only try one baby at a time. I was going to start with Caitlynn because when she wakes up in the night she just gives this little whine. So she doesn't completely wake up. She also on occasion has went to sleep by herself. (not at night or nap just other times) Dalton wakes up and starts really crying if you don't attend to him immediately. He has never went to sleep without some kind of help. Well, then you can imagine my total amazement yesterday when Dalton went to sleep for a nap without a bottle and without a fuss. When I went to put Caitlynn down about 10 minutes after him this is how I found him. Yes he is asleep
Yes he can breath. The picture makes that a little decieving. After the picture I did put him on his back and he went right back to sleep. So STOP PANICING. I love how his hand is still on the bumper pad. He must have been going... going... going and then just gave up.
I figured I should keep a good thing going so tonight I started the Sleepeasy Solution with Dalton. We did a different night time routine. I put him down. WITHOUT A BOTTLE. ( That has never ever happened) I never heard a cry or even a fuss. 10 minutes later I went down to check on him and he was sound asleep on his stomach. I called the kids to look at him because it was just the cutest thing. I turned on the light to take a picture and it woke him up. We left and he was back a sleep within 15 minutes. WITHOUT A BOTTLE and without a fuss. AMAZING!!! I was able to take a picture this time.
Bless his heart. Pray the rest of the evening goes just as well.
