So looking over pictures I see there are hardly any of us during the summer. Except for the trip to Idaho we didn't go anywhere or do anything. And then I remembered why.....work!!
On April 14-16 178 confirmed tornadoes swept across 16 states. Two weeks later on april 25-28 another tornado outbreak hit. Needless to say we got busy at work FAST. Jeff and I were putting in A LOT of overtime. Jeff more than me. I was worried I wouldn't be able to go to Idaho the first part of June. But we did. So Jeff and I kept busy at work. One of us, sometimes both of us where working every weekend. Hurricane Irene came through Aug 21-Aug 24 which kept Jeff and I busy at work through Oct.
Ashlie was working 6-7 days per week. She worked full time at the preschool and then worked weekends at Red Lobster. Austin worked at Camp Enon all summer, coming home only one day per week.
Corrie was very involved in band. She was band captain this year. Hmmm... let me explain that. At the end of the school year Corrie said she applied to be Band Captain. I said, "oh, ok." Not really fully understanding what that even meant. And then came the summer. HELLO Band captain is in charge of the band. Literally. From the time school got out for the summer she has been involved with the band one way or another.
Caitlynn and Dalton had lots and lots of fun at preschool. On Tuesday's they went to a local park. They packed a lunch that day. Played at the park and had lunch. Wednesday was bike day where they got to bring their bikes to school and ride them. Dalton started out the summer riding his big bike, but then for some reason wouldn't even get on it. He wanted to take his smaller trike. Thursday's was water day where they brought their swim suits and played in a little kiddie pool there at the school.
