Easter

This year for easter I wanted to take Caitlnn and Dalton to an Easter Egg hunt. We did that .... sort of.
We went to Historic Long Branch for the Easter Egg hunt because I thought they had the hunts broke out nicely by age groups.
Ok first of all I have to just say it. No I did not take a picture of the Historic Long Branch and no I don't have the history on it. I know... I am just loosing it. Maybe another day.
When we first arrived Caitlynn saw the Bouncy. She had sooo much fun. Dalton funny enough didn't want anything to do with it.

Dalton also didn't want much to do with the animals.

He did get close to the chickens.... I think because they were in a cage

He LOVED the Easter Bunny though. He was talking to the Easter Bunny. In fact one point during the day we "lost" him and found him heading towards the Easter Bunny. Caitlynn would much rather pet the small furry bunny then be anywhere near this bunny.

Corrie and Austin on the other hand didn't talk to the Easter bunny nor did they pet any animals and they didn't even go in the bouncy. Ugh!! They did however go on an Easter egg hunt..... when they didn't even want to.

So I don't have any pictures of the egg hunt because it happened just like that. The yard where the 2-3 year olds were to their egg hunt was rectangular with the entrance at one end. We were standing there at the front. As soon as they blew the whistle kids from all sides ran onto the yard. We ran as fast as we could up the yard but we did not find one.... I mean ONE egg. It was totally insane. So.... We went over to the 4-5 year old egg hunt. This time Corrie and Austin took Caitlynn and Dalton. They were literally carrying them trying to run and get just one egg. I believe they found one a piece. I was so disappointed.
So we came home and did out own Easter Egg hunt. Caitlynn and Dalton each had a basket... yes basket and Corrie and Austin hid the eggs. Pretty soon they started using the bug catchers to carry their eggs. They had alot of fun.

The night before we colored eggs. Austin didn't get as creative as he normally does.
