and Ashlie takes over :)

Hey everyone this is Ashlie

So I have decided with all of my free time (yeah right) that i'm going to help my mom out with her blog. so *deep breath* here I go.
So much has happened to our family in the past 2 months that I don't know where to begin. I guess i will start where my mom left off which was me going off to college.

I am currently attending James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA and I absolutly love it. My courses are challenging, but i somehow have survived mid-terms. I cannot wait until december 10 when i have a month off from school. My roommates and I get along for the most part. Our room gets pretty messy every now and then but then we have random cleaning sprees. Yesterday Kathryn and I cloroxed everything and even vacummed our room. *gasp* Right now my bed is made, and i'm doing laundry. My mom would be so proud. Along with classes I am working at Red Lobster, but more importantly I am going home.
This is a picture of my friends Ariel, Bri and me. One of my first weekends at JMU i drove up to College park Maryland to see a football game. College foot ball games are so different then High school. Unfortunately we lost the game, but we held our own.

A few weekends ago I spent the whole weekend at home. It was so nice and relaxing to see everyone again. I was really afraid when I left that Caitlynn and Dalton would not remember me. It sounds crazy now, but i was seriosly worried. but that is not the case at all. The first time i came home Caitlynn ran up to me yelling "Ashieeee... Ashieeeeee" She attacked me with so many hugs and kisses, I'm amazed she has any left over. Here are some pictures of that weekend.
The whole weekend Caitlynn was attached to my hip. She never let me leave her side.

This video is of Dalton Singing a song called Pharoah Pharoah. Corrie, Austin and I learned it back in veggie tales when we were little. It goes like this:

"Pharaoh Pharaoh, oh baby let my people go. huh *grunting noise*. yeah yeah yeah.
Isn't he adorable? <3>
Early Sunday morning Corrie and I went to church and then went to go get something to eat. Smart one that I am, i locked my keys in the car. You can tell that corrie was thrilled to wait outside for mom and jeff to show up with my spare key. Overall it was a great weekend. I'm going home halloween weekend so i'll make sure that I get more pictures and i'll update as soon as possible if my mom doesn't beat me to it.

Now for the rest of the family:

Corrie is extremly busy with Marching Band (she's section leader of 14 flutes) and Volleyball. Luckily I was able to come home for one competition and one of her games. I am very proud of her. She has matured so much.

Austin is Austin. He is assitant patrol leader ( or something like that) for boy scouts and spends much of his time going camping and doing fund raisers. The weekend that I came home austin was out on a 60 mile bike ride.

My mom spends all of her time taking care of Caitlynn and Dalton, and doing pampered Chef. I love talking to her on the phone and hear how excited she gets when she mentions pampered chef... I probably shouldn't say anything else because I don't want her to get into trouble.

Jeff is busy working and helping austin out with his boy scout stuff.

All in all life is like a rollar coaster right now. The best we can do is be like austin was in Disney Land. He was always so scared to go on all of the big rides. We would almost have to force him to go on. but after he was done, he was ready to hop right back on. even when he went on the little tea cups he put his hands up and enjoyed the ride. Thats how we should look at life. Yes we may be scared to go on the ride of life, and we may need our family and friends help to go, but after we have finished the one ride, we will want to go right back on. And depending how we look at it, even the little things, like the tea cups, can become a beautiful adventure.

Love you all,

Ashlie
