This years Easter Celebrations started on Saturday morning with the coloring of the eggs. I bought 2 1/2 dozen eggs and I am telling you that was not nearly enough. Caitlynn and Dalton loved it. Austin was busy being artistic with his so I think was diappointed when they were all colored so fast.
Dalton showing off his egg
I like to have all different kinds of ways to decorate the eggs available. Over the years Austin has thought up some pretty cool ways so I like to see what they can come up with. Cailtynn preferred actually painting her egg.
Corrie concentrating hard on her eggAustin being his artistic self
Yeah!! Caitlynn actually smiling for a picture
And Daddy. Pretending he was 'helping' with the eggs when secretly on the inside he was enjoying it as much as the rest of us. LOL!!!
I love this picture of Caitlynn. Caitlynn loves to write, color and draw. And if you can do all of that on an egg even better.
Austin's creation
Our creativity for the year. P.S. Ashlie couldn't come home until later that evening so she missed the egg coloring.
Caitlynn and Dalton were up by 8 am Sunday morning ready to see what the Easter bunny brought them.
Ok it is important to get up early on Easter morning and find everything the bunny brought you. What is not so important is the attire in which you find said goodies. The snow boots where the easiest and fastest things to slip on. I LOVE IT!!
After finding all the eggs (Well let me re-phrase that. Finding all the eggs Ashlie, Corrie, and Austin could remember where they hid :-) ) We went to the Easter Service at church. After Church I really wanted a family picture. We finally found someone to take our picture. We tried to get Caitlynn to look at the camera without her hand in front of her face. I think we might have succeeded... BUT the person taking the picture didn't push the button down all the way. So not a single one took. It was cold and windy and Austin had to get to work so I didn't even look at the pictures (or lack of picture) until it was too late. Dalton did manage to take this picture though. Good thing we have Dalton!!
As I already said Caitlynn was in no mood to have her picture taken. But Dalton is always up for a picture. Such a handsome little man.
Yeah!! Jeff and I actually got our picture taken too! So maybe we could just photo shop everyone together and I'll have my family photo. Oh wait. CAITLYNN! The day isn't over yet
After church and our not picture taking moments, we went over to Jeff's parents house. Austin and Corrie had to work so they weren't able to go. For Easter we got this ladderball game. Caitlynn and Dalton really enjoyed it.
Yeah Caitlynn letting us take her picture.
Caitlynn wore a pretty dress to church and then when we went over to Jeff's parents she changed so she could play outside. I was disappointed because I really wanted to get a picture of her in her dress. Later that evening after playing outside most of the time she wanted to put her dress back on. Yeah. My last chance for a picture. Since her baby got the same dress I told her I wanted a picture of the baby in her dress. She agreed and I am sooooo happy for it. The prettiest princess in the land. My day was complete :-) !!
