Halloween

When my kids turned 12 I wouldn't let them go trick or treating any more. I just don't think it is right for kids that age or older to be going around. Austin then decided (with of course the idea from the Bakers) to do Haunted Houses. The very first year Austin did one was in 2009 (see post). It was sort of a maze. The black trash bags were supported by bamboo sticks. The wind was horrible and needless to say it didn't hold up too well. This year was a better structure. The kids kept raiding dumpsters to get the materials they needed. Sorry this isn't a very good picture. Hopefully I can find better ones. The table on the left was an operating table. The kids do a good job making sure they have a way for little kids who are too scared to get also get candy.

Our pumpkins. Not sure why there is only 4. Myabe Ashlie didn't do one. I am not ever sure who's is whose. I know the one with stickers on it must be Caitlynn's. Caitlynn loves Stickers and we find them ALL over the place

Corrie and Ashlie dressed up as Zombies for the haunted house

ewww! GROSS!

Ok All I remember about Halloween last year was how much it took to get Caitlynn and Dalton to this point of the evening. They didn't want to get dressed up. They didn't understand what we were doing. I remember saying many times. 'You will go trick or treating and you WILL have fun!!!

We went to a several houses. I have several friends in the neighborhood so I wanted to go around to all of those. Then at one house they had a jump house. Of course they had to go into that. It was pretty late by the time we were done. I think all in all they had fun. They didn't really understand the concept of ringing the doorbell and saying 'trick or treat' though.
